About Mrs. Robinson

"I wish I had you as my art teacher when I was a kid. I have no talent for art!" I hear this a lot from parents and colleagues. The truth is that art is a skill, not a talent. Talent can get one started but it is hours that turn into years that make a great artist. Practice, observation and hard work are the keys to artistic success. I strive to always create a supportive, calm and creative atmosphere where my students are set up to succeed. Mistakes are embraced as chances for extended learning. Thinking "outside the box" is encouraged for deeper understanding of the role of art in our every day lives. My primary goals for my students are for them to appreciate art, understand its important role in our modern society and how art can enrich their lives every day by exploring and developing their inner artists.
